Analytics & Feedback
DocStar shows how readers use your published docs, so you can see what's popular, what's confusing and where traffic comes from. All of it lives on one Analytics dashboard per collection.
#
What you can track
| Data | What it tells you | Where to see it |
|---|---|---|
| Reads | How many times each page was viewed | Analytics, and the "viewed" count in each page's header |
| Page status | Which pages are live and which are still drafts | Analytics |
| SEO score | How well each published page is optimised for search | Analytics |
| Reader feedback | Yes/No votes and comments from "Was this helpful?" | Analytics, per page |
| UTM traffic | Which campaigns, links and sources sent readers to each page | Analytics, per page |
#
Open the dashboard
Open a collection and click Analytics in the left sidebar. From there you can filter by date, page status and UTM parameter, sort any column and open details for a single page.

- Reader Feedback: how readers rate pages and how to act on their comments.

Make the most of your data
- Check the pages with the most reads first. They have the biggest impact.
- Look for pages with negative feedback and read the comments to see what's missing.
- Use UTM links in emails, release notes and in-app help to learn which channels bring readers in.
- Pair analytics with SEO to raise low SEO scores on important pages.
- For deeper tracking, connect Google Tag Manager.
