Landing Page
The landing page is the first thing readers see when they open your docs site's main URL. It welcomes them, lets them search, and points them to your most useful content. You can use the built-in landing page, pick a template, or have AI design one for you.
#
What the built-in landing page shows
- Your title. Set it in Settings > Theme & Customization > Add HomePage Title. If it's empty, readers see "How can we help?".
- A search bar in the middle of the page, so readers can search all your docs right away.
- Featured cards for your three most-viewed top-level pages. Cards appear only when at least three top-level pages have a feature image.
- Browse by topic, a list of all your top-level pages.

Build a landing page with AI
Describe the home page you want and AI builds it for you.

- Click Build with AI.
- In the chat, describe your page. For example: "A hero section with our tagline, three cards for Getting Started, API Reference and Guides, and a contact section."
- Keep chatting to refine the design. Each result is saved as a version.

#
Manage AI versions

- Delete: remove versions you don't need.
Make sure the AI Generated Theme card is selected, then click Save.

Tips
- Add feature images to your key top-level pages so the built-in landing page shows featured cards.
- Blog collections don't use the built-in landing page. Use a blog template, or build a custom landing page with AI.
- Keep your landing page links up to date when you rename pages. Redirects catch old links, but direct links are faster.
